WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
NeuroMetrix, Inc. (Nasdaq: NURO) will unveil innovative enhancements to
its Quell® Wearable Pain Relief Technology™ at the 2016 CES
Event January 6-9 in Las Vegas. CES is the largest consumer technology
event and has served as the launch pad for innovators and breakthrough
technologies for almost 50 years. CES attracts global business leaders
and pioneering thinkers to a forum where the industry's most relevant
issues are addressed.
CES attendees will get their first glimpse of the latest generation of
Quell technology at Booth # 73313 in the Digital Health section of CES.
NeuroMetrix will also be one of an exclusive group that will participate
in CES Unveiled on January 4, the official press event of CES.
"We are excited to participate again in CES and to reveal the new
innovative functionality, smartphone integration, and digital health
features that are being added to Quell," said, Shai N. Gozani, M.D.,
Ph.D. "These improvements will further solidify Quell as the most
advanced consumer wearable therapeutic on the market."
Quell utilizes NeuroMetrix's patented neurostimulation technology to
provide widespread relief from chronic pain. The advanced wearable
device is lightweight and can be worn during the day while active, and
at night while sleeping. It has been cleared by the FDA for treatment of
chronic pain without a prescription. In a recent study, 81% of Quell
users reported an improvement in their chronic pain, and 67% reported a
reduction in pain medication usage. Quell includes a smartphone app that
automatically tracks and personalizes their pain therapy. Quell was
launched earlier this year, and was one of four finalists for the Best
of CES 2015 award in Health and Fitness. It is available for purchase at www.QuellRelief.com,
select retailers and healthcare professionals.
