WALTHAM, Mass., July 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NeuroMetrix, Inc. (Nasdaq:NURO) announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 10,004,445. The patent covers novel technology that enhances DPNCheck^® device performance by detecting and rejecting erroneous test conditions during nerve conduction studies.

This patent further strengthens the position of the Company in offering easy-to-use, automated and accurate point-of-care neuropathy testing.

DPNCheck is a quantitative nerve conduction test that is used by physicians and health care professionals to evaluate systemic neuropathies such as diabetic peripheral neuropathy, or DPN. It is designed to be used at the point-of-care to objectively detect, stage, and monitor DPN.
